Teaching diagramming used to be SOP in 3rd or 4th grade as it truly helps kids get a deep understanding of sentence structure and parts of speech. Nowadays teachers spend 10 minutes on parts of speech with a few worksheets and then jump into writing complex essays and the kids have a shaky foundation in the building blocks. This teacher is phenomenal at engaging kids and being in touch with whether the students are getting it or not. I couldn’t recommend a language arts teacher more highly. Camden is a very talented and engaging teacher. When the pandemic hit and suddenly I was in charge of my son's Pre-K schooling, I felt overwhelmed. I decided to sign him up for some virtual early reading and writing classes with Camden and it was a game changer - she taught him how to sound out his first words and read them. He was so proud! She made learning fun by linking my son's interests (volcanoes and cars) to her lessons, sprinkling in related drawing and videos to break things up and keep learning fun.
